Business – Feature on James Hosman (an excerpt referencing ECARE)
Pensacola Business Journal – January 2009
Q: What would you like to see done to improve the overall quality of life in the Pensacola Bay area?
A: I think one of the major problems that is the root to many of the issues we face in this community is our educational system. We are nearly last in the state and that causes problems on many levels. Not only are some of our local children not getting the education that they need to succeed on a global level, but parents are reluctant to move to this area based on the fact their child may not receive the education they would in another community. Community-oriented programs such as the tutoring initiatives that have been created by PYP, Rotary, Kiwanis among others along with organizations such as ECARE are going to be a critical piece in improving the system. An educational system cannot change with a community that cares.
